Hey guys! Time for some random Progress Pictures! I started working on my remake for Garnet, and then switched gears to work on a new costume for KatsuCon — Utena Tenjou, in her Manga color scheme.
The top 3 pics are from Garnet, including the new belt-buckles lying on my old bodysuit, progress on her blouse (made from peachskin) and the base I created to make a mold and cast the new pendant jewel — I sued the bottom of an old, “Christmas-ornament” coca cola bottle, cut it, and then used a peice of leftover stencil blank to make the peaks and valleys. I poured in some resin to make it solid, so it wouldn’t bend or warp when I go to make a mold.
The lower three pictures are progress from Utena, including the jacket thus far, the shoes, and the in-progress shoulder-epaulettes.
Back to work I go!
