Thank you very much, that means a lot. <3 Sadly, I’m not really sure what advice I can give, except to take things slowly; use patterns to start off with, because they will help you with fit to begin with. Try things on frequently as you go, pin, and adjust. having a friend to help you with this can be a real time-saver as well, or you can have a friend help you make a body double. There are some good tutorials for that on youtube!
