“What is your favorite convention that you’ve been to so far?”

Hm, that’s a hard one! I’m also not sure if it means, what is my favorite convention in general, or the single convention in a single year that was my favorite.  I guess I’ll answer both!

I think in the general sense, my favorite convention has become FanimeCon in San Jose, CA.  It’s one that I regularly attend (have done so for 3 years in a row now), with a great venue (except for this year, with all the construction), and a chance for me to see basically every west-coast cosplayer friend I can think of.  Seeing as it’s four days long, there’s more time to do as many things as you’d like, and so far, it’s had a lot of my favorite masquerade experiences simply from the real, legitimate stage, and the over-all quality of competition that shows up.

As far as a single favorite convention…  That’s really a toss-up between SakuraCon 2009, FanimeCon 2010, and KatsuCon 2012.    In SakuraCon 2009, NOTN really came back together after a rough year, and we performed ‘Sora the Explorer’, whcih went over SO well.  FanimeCon 2010 was my first year going to Fanime — we took lots of great pictures, and cosplayed as a group many times.  This was also when Rynn and I took part in the WCS Prelims, and I don’t think anything will ever quite compare to being picked as Team USA.  KatsuCon 2012 was such a different experience than I’ve ever had before — I got to meet so many people who, up until then, had only been these distant names and words on a computer.  I spent less time in Cosplay than I think I have at any convention, got to judge the WCS USA Preliminaries, and made so many wonderful memories that have me determined to go back to the East Coast for cons again.
