Thanks to eBay, and a little help from my new buddy Jo, I finally found the perfect thigh-highs for Velvet.  They were only 4.75, so I bought 5 pairs — just in case of snags, runs, or effing them up.

Cosplay Plans for 2012

I know there’s still a couple months left in the year, but I’m already starting on my costumes for 2012 — My first con on the year is the first weekend of January, so I need to be ready to go!  I have to say, that if all goes as planned, this will be my most ambitious year yet! There’s one for KumoriCon 2012 that I haven’t posted, but that’s for later. ^_~  This is it for now, and the last three are a bit iffy, and dependent on how things go as it gets closer.

While shopping at JoAnns with Kayla this weekend, I found myself thinking about how I wanted to add a little bit of pizazz to my Velvet costume.  In particular, I was thinking about the star charms that dangle from her head-dress.  And no sooner had I put my mind on this, we found these little beauties.  They’re made of aluminum I think, and need to be spray-painted… and I’m not 100% sure if I Want to leave them as is, or cut them down and mount them on top of a more opaque base.  Either way, I’m in love with them.  <3
